Top 13 rws adaptations that never happened.

Remember the good old days when Britt alcroft and David mitton adapted rws stories? Hell even season 20 brought us the small railway engines trilogy. Now we all love the classic series but imagine for a second if season 5 also included rws stories. Here's a rundown of what I think I could have been. Note these are my opinions and just what I think would have worked.

Gordon goes foreign
Gordon and duck argue with a big city engine about the main station in London. When the engine has an accident Gordon is asked to take the train instead.
Now this is a story that nearly happened. Much like missing coach this was planned as an episode back in season 3 and unlike missing coach this episode can be brought to the screen during any season as it works as a stand alone story as well as a rws quadrilogy. Missing coach only worked as an introduction to Donald and Douglas where as this could be shown as part of any season.
Mountain engines
The narrow gauge engines are visited by culdee and he tells them all about his railway
Now this is a hard one... there's a few opportunitys to combine story's especially the latter two. Plus the bad look out story quite possibly could scare children hearing an engine being reduced to nothing. Even if it was a story. However there is a lot of potential here and the sets would have been amazing. Could really fit with style of season 5.
Super rescue
Henry proves a hero saving two diesels at once
Another (rumored) story that nearly made it too screen but fell short. This could have been a really cool season 5 episode. Repaint the class 40 diesel and make a model for bear and this could have been a big season 5 episode.
Triple header
One day when Gordon is sent to the works and Henry is ill thomas, duck and Percy are asked to pull the express.
Remember how awesome it was in bowled put seeing duck and Stepney pulling that train along the line. That music. This could have been the season 5 equivalent. A simple story. Along with the season 5 style and this could have been a great episode. Add in the drama of Gordon actually needing to go to the works like in a better view for Gordon. Plus who doesn't want a episode with these three tank engines working together.
Crossed lines
James had an accident with some wellwagons and learns a valuable lesson.
This a story from James and the diesel engines. Another simple story but again with the drama of season 5 simple fog  effects could have brought this from the pages to the screen. Plus how amazing would that crash with the signal be.
Fire engine
Henry teases James and says he looks like a fire engine but when his tender becomes uncoupled James has the last laugh.
Another story from James and the diesel engines. This would have been a perfect fit for season 5. The little fire would have been amazing to see brought to life. Plus I can imagine how great it would be seeing James and Henry argue in the sheds.
Drip tank
Percy and Thomas arguments still rage on but when Thomas ends up causing a leak in his water tank
This is the last story and only one from more about Thomas the tank engine not to be adapted to screen. Now since Britt and David requested Christopher to write this book it makes sense that eventually all stories would make it too screen.
High speed Gordon
One icy morning Gordon proves that he can be high speed but while still standing completely still
Now this one never registered to me as a possible tv story till I seen a remake by robtheredengine on YouTube and I totally fell in love with it. Watching the remake it feels like a tv adaptation and it does have a season 5 vibe to it.
Jock the new engine
The small railway gets a new arrival
Now to the stories we all hoped season 21 would produce but never delivered. After seeing the small railway engines adapted in season 20 was something quite magical. The first adaptations since 1997 and boy did they do it justice... a season later and everyone hoped that this would continue and Jock would be introduced and these stories might make the screen but sadly never did. With the focus now being on big world big adventures hope seems lost that it ever will.
Sliding scales
James is tasked pulling the flying kipper and the slippery track proves difficult for him.
Very similar concept as high speed Gordon. But an episode with James and the flying kipper seems to add more drama to the story and add the docks and cranky into the story this could have been a brilliant season 5 episode.
Rabbits
Thomas and Percy have some trouble on the branch with rabbits burrowing under the line.
Another story brought to my attention via a remake. And honestly this could be a timeless classic weather done in the classic era or cgi.
Wilbert the forest engine
The engines are visited by a tank engine called Wilbert.
This could have been the season 5 equivalent to the Stepney arc in season 4. Very simple model to make. Even combine Percy's porridge and foaming at the funnel into one episode. A very well liked engine from the books that deserved a tv episode
Thomas and the evil diesel
When Percy is ill diesel is brought back to the island
This probably could have been split into two episodes and very much justify why diesel came back after being sent away twice!. People seem to forget that in diesel does it again he was once again sent packing. It's a shame this wasn't made into a tv story especially given that this is a key diesel story. Even the my thomas story library books took this as diesels story over every other diesel story they could have chose.
Now these are purely my opinions and just something I have done for fun.
